Enterprise Ireland Environmental Forum in Conjunction with Donegal
County Enterprise Board
Tuesday 11th March 2008
9.00am – 13.00pm
Venue: Radisson Hotel, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal
Environmental Sustainability for Business
Recent concerns regarding Global Warming and Peak Oil puts
Environmental Sustainability very much on the political agenda. But
what does it mean for Irish Business?
Sustainable Development is now part of a National and EU strategy
which includes the objective of environmental protection as one of the
key platforms on which sustainability must be built. The environment
is a crucial part of this roadmap and highlights its importance to the
future of this country’s development.
This forum is centred around focussing on the importance of
environmental sustainability and how an effective in-house
environmental policy can bring real benefits in crucial areas, such as
energy efficiency, eco-design, waste management etc. These areas will
be covered in this forum as well as information on the financial
support schemes on offer from Enterprise Ireland to help companies
wishing to improve the environmental impacts of their products or
processes. There will also be a progress report on the current status
of REACH which will have a major impact on the supply and regulation
of chemicals to all sectors.
This forum is free of charge.
