Position Purpose
To assist adolescents within the ADP area to develop the behaviours
and attitudes necessary for participation in social, civic, and
economic life. Key duties will include; Mobilizing groups of
adolescents; Recruiting, mentoring and managing volunteer IMPACT Club
Leaders; Providing ongoing coaching and support to IMPACT Clubs;
Creating networks and partnerships with appropriate stakeholders in
the ADP area; and participating in the international IMPACT Club
movement.

1. Recruitment and Training of IMPACT Club Leaders

Participate in IMPACT Club Facilitator Orientation Training (4
days)

Host IMPACT Club information session(s) in ADP Area
*
Identify and meet with potential project partners (organizations
and individuals) in the ADP area
*
Interview and select volunteer IMPACT Club Leaders
*
Work with ADP Manager and/or IMPACT Club Project Director to
coordinate IMPACT Club Leaders Training (6 days)
2. Formation of IMPACT Clubs
1-2 months
*
Assist IMPACT Club Leaders to coordinate IMPACT Club information
session(s) in the community.
*
Work with IMPACT Club Leaders to form functional IMPACT Clubs in
the ADP area.
*
Attend weekly IMPACT meetings to facilitate/support Clubs to
become cohesive, have clarity of mission, vision and strategy and
to develop practical action plans.
3. Mentoring and management of IMPACT Club Leaders

*
Monthly face-to-face meetings with each IMPACT Club Leader (this
could be done in conjunction with monthly Club visits).
*
Telephone calls at least once a week to monitor each IMPACT Club
Leader.
*
Ensure that weekly and monthly reports are satisfactory and
submitted on time.
*
Assist IMPACT Club Leaders to build relationships across
communities.
*
Arrange quarterly development meetings for all IMPACT Club Leaders
to come together to resolve common challenges and build on
successful approaches and innovation.
*
Organize at least one local/regional event per year to motivate
Leaders. This can be done individually or with other IMPACT Club
Facilitators, and with the support of ADP Manager and Project
Director.
4. Coaching and support of IMPACT Clubs

Visit each IMPACT Club at Least once a month.
*
Participate in at least two community projects per a year, per an
IMPACT Club.
*
Participate in quarterly IMPACT Club reflection/evaluation
meetings and offering coaching in the use of the IMPACT
instruments/tools.
*
Evaluating training needs for IMPACT Club members, based on report
from monitoring meetings. Provide follow-up support to IMPACT Club
Leaders to deliver training in areas on need.
*
Evaluating the quality of clubs based on the IMPACT Quality
Standards (through visits, telephone discussions, and
participation in projects), and offering direct and indirect
coaching in order to maintain or improve the quality of the IMPACT
program.
5. Participation in IMPACT Club international movement
Ongoing
*
Work with IMPACT Clubs to establish facebook groups to share
information and work.
*
Encourage IMPACT Club participants to join IMPACT Club
International facebook page.
6. Create Networks and Partnerships
Ongoing
*
Establish positive links and working relationships with local
community agencies and organisations in the delivery of youth
services.
*
Identify new local opportunities for IMPACT Leaders or members.
*
Develop and maintain strong relationships with community agencies
and other project partners by sending a report of IMPACT Club
activities to partner organisations at least once a year.
*
Communicate useful contacts and opportunities to relevant IMPACT
Club Leaders.
7. Records and evaluation

*
Collect and record initial baseline data in an organised fashion
to enable evaluation of project impacts
*
Conduct appraisals of impacts against baseline data
*
Interpreting quantitative and qualitative data collected at each
Club visit, telephone discussion, and providing summaries through
monthly and bi-annual qualitative and quantitative reports on each
IMPACT Club.
*
Collection of monthly reports from IMPACT Club Leaders.
*
Documenting testimonies and success stories which can be included
in the monthly report, collected through visits, telephone
discussions, project participation, etc.
*
Creating financial reports/expense accounts for community
service-learning and social enterprise projects of the IMPACT
Clubs.
*
Distributing money to the clubs, and collecting related financial
documents.
*
Record networks and contacts in a way that can be readily backed
up, transferred and accessed.
9. Administration

General administrative duties related to the support of the
program.
Education
Bachelor Degree, Social Sciences, Social Work, Education or
qualification in youth work would be highly valued.
Knowledge

Understanding of the culture and conditions in area

Understanding of local economic development approaches and methods

Knowledge in research design and implementation

A good command of the English Language

Proven ability to provide community support and understanding of
community development and participatory processes.

Experience and recognized expertise in models and methods of
training, facilitation and capacity building for staff and
communities.

Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection
methods, including sampling, survey design, data analysis, and the
application of these methods to project Design, Monitoring and
Evaluation standards.
