. Education:
We have master degree process only 1 university. The curriculum is
structured following subjects. At first, Nursing Theory, Pharmacology,
Nursing Research method, Anesthesiology or lecture of anesthetic
theory and practice and so on. Practice time is not enough also. But
we had been had some educational problem to the master degree that is
to say we face to anesthesiologist’s apposition.
We had two university the master degree for nurse anesthetist until
2008. But a university had face to miserable condition that doctor had
been great against to education for nurse anesthetist at that
university and hospital, and the master degree had been closed by
doctors why they had been suggested could not provide practice
education.

Salaries:
Annual salaries are variable and ranged 3500$ to 8000$, nurse
anesthetist take much money more than general nurses in Korea. General
nurse’s annual salary ranged 2,500$ to 4,500$.

Workforce:
As you may know our country do not accept overseas nurse we are only
Korean nurses until now. Our government had been considered migration
of overseas nurse or from Indonesia and it has been issued in general
nursing care environment currently but it was not matched our real
fields.

Nursing Policy, Promotion and Inclusion:
Now many nurse’s are in government body, public office, and there are
2 members in National Assembly, and many nurses are university
hospital, general hospital and semi general hospital. Also many nurses
are education agency, school and nurse collage. Some university
hospital and semi-general hospital has been made promote to executive
member in management and business.

Current Issues:
Now we have big and miserable event or a nurse anesthetist mistake in
the field so he was sued 2005. But he had severe judgment or a
violation of the medical law last April it was judgment from Supreme
Court so almost members are falling in slump and they considering what
shall they do. We need law protection for them and we should make
method of solve the difficult situation and we trying to make perfect
practice. And another issue is making public medical insurance from
government so we need information abort it.

National Activities:
We have been participated The World Congress of IFNA since primary
congress and report of study presentation was planned this Congress in
Haegue may be it is very first time of chance. And many nurses have
been participated ICN conference and Korean nurse is a executive
member of ICN. Not that I know of

Union Activities, Strikes, Legislative Activities:
Our Nurse Association has been tried to pass the professional nurse’s
law in National Assembly since last year and it is very important mean
for Korea nurses.
