tourism, MICE, retail and F&B sectors

careers and show the professionalism and range of skills required
to excel in the sectors

To inform the public and raise awareness about the career and
training opportunities available in the sectors
Theme
“Your Experience is our Business”
It is the customer’s experience that counts in the leisure tourism,
MICE, retail and F&B sectors, and this hinges on the person serving
that experience. At the careers exhibition, people who are interested
to enter the leisure tourism, MICE, retail and F&B sectors will have
the opportunity to experience and understand the various jobs
available in the sectors though information panels, games, skits and
other activities. We hope their experience at the pavilion will
reinforce or ignite a passion for these sectors, such that more will
consider a career in this industry.

PLACE & TRAIN PROGRAMME FOR SPA & WELLNESS SECTOR
Objective
Help locals build a career in the spa sector with certifiable skills
training

Entrants are first employed with a spa company before being sent for
training that leads to an industry-recognised certification. WDA
supports 90 per cent of their training fees up to a cap.
Eligibility of Job Seekers
Singaporeans / Permanent Residents, and:

Fresh entrants to spa industry
*
Must not possess the same skill certificate(s) or have undergone
the same course(s) offered before
Work Requirements
a.
Physically fit
b.
Good personal grooming and hygiene standards
c.
Able to converse in English (knowledge of additional language is
a plus)
d.
Willing and able to perform rotating shift and work on
weekend/public holiday when scheduled
e.
Positive attitude and willing to learn
f.
Interest to build a career as therapist
Expected Salary
Average monthly gross starting salary of S$1,100 (average monthly
basic salary component of S$900 plus commissions and allowances)
