CECC 2004 PROJECT
TITLE :
GROUP 1 – No Agreed Title –
IDEA:
2 weeks of music and arts workshops ending with a public festival.
Music as communication tool to further a shared understanding and in
that way eliminating ignorance and prejudices.
ASSOCIATIONS:
ACC – big network of people for distributing the project idea.

TARGET GROUP :
Everybody with an interest in music and an ability to sing or play
music. (+ media and marketing group)
No limitations regarding age, countries, race, religion,
(dis)abilities or cultural backgrounds.
NEEDS:
We didn’t talk about the specific needs – but we were recognizing the
fact that a very broad target group as ours would cause very special
needs and could be a big problem for the establishment of the project.
TIMETABLE AND VENUE OF THE PROJECT:
2 weeks
Away from the city and the shops – rural area were you can really
concentrate on the coming together and playing the music and doing the
arts.
You’ll need a school with instruments already because many instruments
like Piano and so forth it’s not possible to bring from a far. (The
Danish folk High Schools were mentioned – there are specific music
ones.)
The event should take place on a yearly basis but in different
countries every year.
GOALS:
Copied from “Idea”
2 weeks of music and arts workshops ending with a public festival.
Music as communication tool to further a shared understanding and in
that way eliminating ignorance and prejudices.
EXPECTED RESULTS:
Insight in the different peoples cultures and backgrounds +
establishing networks
Products:
Festival of the music composed in the workshops.
Documentary about the whole event including the festival.
Finally also a CD.

PROJECT STEPS:
Creating a project group. Agreeing on the project and concretizing the
project. IMPORTANT considering how to get the funds!!!
