Dear Resident of the Summer Village of Island Lake,
My name is Robbie McIntosh and I am seeking a position as a councilor
with the Summer Village of Island Lake. I feel it is important our
residents have the opportunity to meet, in person, the candidates who
are running and I will be stopping by your residence over the next few
weeks to personally introduce myself, listen to your concerns and
hopefully gain your confidence in my campaign for the position as
councilor.
I have been coming out to Island Lake for the past 34 years, during
this time I have developed a great respect for the community, its
residents, and the quality of the lake. I feel that to keep those
characteristics alive we need to govern in a pragmatic, sustainable
way. I know that taking on the position as a councilor is a large
responsibility and I am willing to commit myself to this cause. I will
look out for the best interests of our residents now, and work to
ensure our children and grandchildren are able to enjoy the lake in
the future, as we do today.
I am a Father of 3 little girls Ava (11), Elle (8), and Lola (4) who
along with their mother Willow, spend their entire summer enjoying the
lake at 22 Beaver Avenue. Although our main residence is in the city
of Edmonton, I spend a great deal of time at the lake throughout the
year and I can assure you that I will be available year round to serve
the community as a councilor. As for my working career, I am the Field
Operations Manager for Altalink LP. Altalink is a Power Transmission
Provider in the Province of Alberta, as a company we own and operate
approximately 12,000Km of Transmission lines and over 300 Substations.
I look forward to serving you as councilor, I hope that this
introduction gives you a sense of who I am and why I want to be
involved in serving the residents of Island Lake. I believe our top
priorities are maintaining the quality of our summer village,
monitoring the health of our lake and ensuring our residents are able
to continue enjoying the lake, as we know it today, for years to come.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to give
me a call at 780-446-4724.
Best Regards
Robbie McIntosh
