Camp can be a highlight for any Jewish teenager, with benefits
including social, educational, self esteem, team building and so much
more. It provides a healthy outlet for their energy and enthusiasm,
and a positive environment for exploring all aspects of their lives
and Yidishkeit with their madrichim, camp Rabbis, and with friends –
old and new.
Yesh Camp is the successor of Camp Pirchei. Active and vibrant for
many years, Pirchei eventually lapsed.
Velvy Bokow stepped into the breach and revived it in its new form.
This camp, as any, requires an array of resources if it is to be
successful. Many individuals over the years have stepped forward,
recognized the value of the camp, and have made meaningful
contributions.
But the need remains.
Velvy Bokow has shown incredible commitment to our Jewish youth, and
shoulders the responsibility of the camp on all levels. So that he can
focus on providing the kids with a meaningful and powerful experience,
I urge you to contribute, and to do so proactively and generously.
May we all merit to recognize the roles we all play, and to support
others in playing theirs.
