MEMORANDUM OF ORAL DECISION DELIVERED BY L.M. BRUCE ON
APRIL 26, 2019 AND ORDER OF THE TRIBUNAL
INTRODUCTION
1.
This was a status update call for an appeal by 725 Wilson Inc. (the
“Appellant”) under s. 17(24) of the Planning Act with respect to
Official Plan Amendment No. 362 (“OPA 362”). OPA 362 is a planning
framework intended to guide the revitalization of the
Dufferin-Wilson Regeneration Area in the City of Toronto (the
“City”). The Appellant is the land lessee of 725 Wilson Avenue
which is within the Regeneration Area.

The Tribunal was advised by Mr. Crawford that the matter has not
been before City Counsel and asked that a further TCC be set for
six weeks. In the interim the parties will establish an Issues
List and assess the number of days that will be required for a
hearing. Dates for a hearing will be sought at the next
Pre-Hearing Conference.

The Tribunal notes that in addition to the Issues List, the
parties should develop a Schedule in order to rigorously assess
the number of days that will be required for the hearing. This
should be provided to the Tribunal in advance of the next TCC. In
addition, if it is determined that more than five days are
required for the merits hearing, a Procedural Order should also be
provided to the Tribunal in advance of the next TCC.

The Tribunal has scheduled a TCC for Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 9
