If you are planning on volunteering at Meramec Heights at any of the
parties, library or Parent Club events you must fill out a NEW
VOLUNTEER FORM each year. Volunteer Forms cannot be filled out on the
day of the event – they must be filled out prior to the event. Just
ask your child’s teacher for a copy or ask at the office.

Please remember… Parents and other visitors are requested to report
first to the school office EACH time they visit. Each visitor will be
issued a visitor’s pass during their visit to school. ALL VISITORS
MUST ENTER THROUGH THE FRONT DOORS. We are asking that everyone
observe and honor the rules for visitors that are posted in our
building and all school buildings in the district. The camera/doorbell
system is in place. PLEASE push the button and remain in front of the
camera – wait for us to speak to you and when the light turns green
and you hear the click of the door you may enter through the Right
Door.

have your child’s name on EVERYTHING!! Anything left at the end of
each quarter will be donated.

NEWS FROM THE NURSE
I am hearing a lot of concern from students, parents and others about
this new virus that has surfaced in our area. Just to give you a few
things to watch for…
1. An increased cough
2. A change in the sound of the cough
3. Wheezing
4. Shortness of breath
Should any student start exhibiting these things in the classroom
please send them to me for evaluation!!!!!!!!! Also please keep a much
closer eye on those already compromised such as your Asthma students
or students prone to respiratory issues.
To PREVENT this virus here is the CDC’s recommendations………..
Guidance for Healthcare Professionals
To help reduce the risk of infection with EV-D68, healthcare
professionals should recommend the following:
• Wash hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, especially
after changing diapers;
• Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands;
• Avoid kissing, hugging, and sharing cups or eating utensils with
people who are sick;
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as toys and doorknobs,
especially if someone is sick;
• Stay home when feeling sick, and obtain consultation from your
health care provider.
