How to enable XML reply for HP Proliant Integrated Lights-Out 2

Login to MP Web page.

Go to Administration tab.

Under Settings click Management.
4.
Under “Configure Insight Manager Integration” , For Level of Data
Returned option select “Enabled (iLO 2 + Server Association Data)
and click “Apply Settings”

Now click “View XML Reply”. Under a idea scenario the following
must be displayed.

Https/Http protocols are always enabled and in fact there is no
provision to enable/disable via CLI/WEB Interface.

If still the XML reply is not seen for some reason then go to CLI
Interface and run reset command, this will reboot the ILO.
How to set UUID on the server
a.
UUID = Serial Number + Product ID.
b.
To set serial number and product id you need to go to BIOS setup
-> Advance Options and set them. This can be done directly or via
Remote console into the server via iLO.
c.
In case either serial number or product id is not set, UUID will
not be set on the server and as a result MP XML reply will not
have the UUID.
In case of Integrity MP: Integrity MP does not support XML reply. In
this case MP to server association is done via SNMP support on the MP.
SNMP on MP has the serial number of the server which is used to
associate it with the server and hence make sure SNMP Status is
enabled via Web Interface. Administrator->SNMP Status.
If possible make sure you always have latest version of firmware’s
running on ILO, ILO 2 , and integrity ILO.
