Block

Please join a team. Grant Wood AEA needs puppeteers for
“The Kids on the Block”. The “Kids on the Block” are a troop of six
puppets, some of them handicapped. This is the twenty sixth year this
exciting disabilities awareness project is being made available to
third grade students within our AEA, for awareness and acceptance of
disabled persons within society. This is a fun and satisfying
experience for both puppeteers and students.
Puppeteers work in teams of three. A puppet presentation is
approximately 1 hr. in length. Shows are usually scheduled at 1:00 or
1:30pm. This involves a commitment of one afternoon per month,
although you can perform as often as desired. We hope to
gain more teams so that every school that would like a show is able to
book one.
Teams are now being formed so if you are interested in becoming a
puppeteer, please complete the following and return by Wednesday,
September 15th to Cathy Nelson in the Northern Facility. If you know
anyone else that is interested that you would like to have on your
team, let me know. If you have any questions or would like more
