Title: TS 23.304: Subscription to ProSe

Abstract: This contribution provides description on Subscription to
ProSe into TS 23.304.
1. Introduction
===============
Based on the conclusions of TR 23.752, this contribution added
description on Subscription to ProSe into TS 23.304.
2. Proposal
===========
It is proposed to capture the following changes into TR 23.304.

5.8 Subscription to ProSe
-------------------------
The user's profile in the UDM contains the subscription information to
give the user permission to use ProSe.
At any time, the operator can remove the ProSe UE subscription rights
from user's profile in the UDM, and revoke the user's permission to
use ProSe.
a) The following subscription information is defined for ProSe:
- subscription for open ProSe Direct Discovery for LTE PC5 and for NR
PC5:
- open ProSe Direct Discovery Model A.
- subscription for restricted ProSe Direct Discovery for LTE PC5 and
for NR PC5:
- restricted ProSe Direct Discovery Model A;
- restricted ProSe Direct Discovery Model A with
application-controlled extension;
- restricted ProSe Direct Discovery Model A with "on demand"
announcing;
- restricted ProSe Direct Discovery Model B.
- subscription for Broadcast mode ProSe Direct Communication for NR
PC5, and subscription for one-to-many ProSe Direct Communication for
LTE PC5.
- subscription for Groupcast mode ProSe Direct Communication for NR
PC5.
- subscription for Unicast mode ProSe Direct Communication, including
for NR PC5, and subscription for one-to-one ProSe Direct Communication
for LTE PC5..
- UE-PC5-AMBR for NR PC5.
b) Additional parameters related to the ProSe Direct service may be
stored in the user's profile, such as:
- the list of the PLMNs where the UE is authorised for open Direct
Discovery Model A, i.e. to announce or monitor or both. For each PLMN
in the list, the RAT(s) over which the UE is authorised to perform
Direct Discovery Model A over PC5 reference point.
- the list of the PLMNs where the UE is authorised for restricted
ProSe Direct Discovery Model A, i.e. to announce or monitor or both.
For each PLMN in the list, the RAT(s) over which the UE is authorised
to perform restricted ProSe Direct Discovery Model A over PC5
reference point.
- the list of the PLMNs where the UE is authorised for restricted
ProSe Direct Discovery Model B , i.e. to perform Discoverer operation
or Discoveree operation or both. For each PLMN in the list, the RAT(s)
over which the UE is authorised to perform restricted ProSe Direct
Discovery Model B over PC5 reference point.
- the list of the PLMNs where the UE is authorised to perform
Broadcast mode ProSe Direct Communication for NR PC5, and the list of
the PLMNs where the UE is authorised to perform one-to-many ProSe
Direct Communication for LTE PC5.
- the list of the PLMNs where the UE is authorised to perform
Groupcast mode ProSe Direct Communication for NR PC5.
- the list of the PLMNs where the UE is authorised to perform Unicast
mode ProSe Direct Communication, and the list of the PLMNs where the
UE is authorised to perform one-to-one ProSe Direct Communication for
LTE PC5.
- PC5 QoS parameters as defined in clause 5.7.1 used by NG-RAN.
The UDM may retrieve a) from the UDR. a) is provided by the UDM to the
AMF during UE Registration procedure as defined in clause 4.2.2.2 of
TS 23.502 [xx] using Nudm_SDM service for Subscription data type
"ProSe Subscription data" and the AMF provides a) to NG-RAN as part of
the UE context information.
b) is provided by the UDR to the PCF during the UE Policy Association
Establishment procedure as defined in clause 4.16.11 of TS 23.502 [xx]
and UE Policy Association Modification procedure as defined in clause
4.16.12 of TS 23.502 [xx] using Nudr service for Data Set "Policy
Data" and Data Subset "Policy Set Entry". If the subscription
information provided to the PCF from UDR is changed (e.g., PC5 QoS
related parameters), the PCF initiates the UE Configuration Update
procedure as specified in clause 6.2.2.
